A colorful mixture of temperature and texture that makes this soup a family favorite!
In a 3-quart saucepan, brown meat with the onion. Drain. Chop tomatoes, setting the juice aside. Add tomatoes and juice to saucepan with tomato sauce, beans, water, picante sauce, and ground cumin. Bring to a boil. Reduce heat, cover and simmer for approx. 10 minutes. Pour into soup bowls. Top with Mi Ranchito Tortilla Chips, cheese, lettuce, sour cream and additional picante sauce if desired. Makes 4-6 servings. (Approx. 6 cups of soup) |
